So a few weeks ago, Jenne tallied up the cost of her drugstore makeup routine. So today I’m doing the same! I honestly am pretty dang nervous to share mine, because I do use a lot of high end products. But I’ve found products I absolutely love and haven’t found their more affordable counterparts yet. I’ll definitely share those if I ever do 🙂
Makeup Products Used
I like a more matte finish for the majority of my face. Don’t get me wrong, just because I love a matte look doesn’t mean I don’t love a good glow! I get that from my highlight that I use on my cheekbones, the end of my nose, above my Cupid’s bow, and the center of my chin.
- Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation
- Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
- Anastasia Contour Kit
- Becca Highlighter in Moonstone
- Colourpop Translucent Setting Powder
- Benefit Dandelion Blush
I’m not sure why I haven’t played around much with my brow products, because I know there are options out there. I just have used this brow pencil for so long it’s just second nature now to repurchase the same thing when I’m out. I just ran out so I’ll definitely try something new this time!
- Anastasia Brow Wiz
- NYX Tinted Brow Mascara
- Smashbox Minimalist Palette
- Tarte Tarteist Double Take Liner (Pencil and Liquid Liner in one)
- NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Pencil
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Honestly this one is something I might forever repurchase! I have never found a matte liquid lipstick that is as long lasting and comfortable as the Kat Von D ones. Not only did I find the perfect liquid lip but I found the perfect everyday shade for me too!
- Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Ludwig
Okay I’m not ready for this! Haha.
And the total is $254.71. Thank goodness this isn’t like a monthly expense! After looking at this though, I do want to play around with more drugstore items. I don’t think I can budge on my foundation and concealer (I’ve tried) but some of the other items I could! I’ll keep you guys posted if I find more affordable products that I love!
