I may be all by my lonesome in this but even when I am glamming it up I still want to be seasonally appropriate (read: dressed warm enough for winter!) This girl cannot stand to be cold so I’m going to share my tips for nailing this winter glam look!
Tips for Winter Glam
1. Mix multiple textures.
In this look I have tweed, leather, knits and fur going on. The winter is one time where I don’t think you can have too many textures, especially when sticking with neutral colors.
2. Be choosy with your outerwear.
I am extremely selective with my outwear depending on the outfit I am wearing. If you want to up the glam factor, you cannot just throw any coat on, it has to fit the look. The color of this faux fur is perfect with this black and white outfit. It brings it all together and grounds it from being too matchy matchy.
Also, ya girl does not like to be cold at all, even for the sake of fashion. Faux fur has the glam factor AND the warmth factor. It is definitely a go to for me during the winter months.
3. Use gold/leather accessories.
Here I went with gold wire rimmed glasses, a faux leather & gold clutch, leather boots, and a faux leather & gold belt. Gold adds a warmth to this neutral color palette and is my FAVORITE way to glam things up.
Is winter glam your thing?!
Honestly winter glam is a good description for my everyday style. Haha! For some though, this may work better for a special occasion. Tell us your thoughts in the comments!!
