This week Lindsey and I popped into H&M to style some looks for you! Some friends gave us some inspiration to look at business professional wear, and while we’re still not 100 percent clear on what that even means (seriously thinking that defining styles is something we need to research and write a post about soon!) H&M had so many workwear options! We barely scratched the surface of what they have to offer, but came up with some awesome looks!
I also came up with some holiday inspired looks, and Lindsey styled a couple casual chic looks as well.
A Few Tips for Shopping at H&M
1. Bring donations.
Did you know that for every bag of clothing for donations you bring into your local H&M you receive a 15% off coupon that you can use the same day on your purchase?! AND this coupon often combines with other deals and promotions that they have going on! There is literally no reason to ever pay full price (AND their prices are already super reasonable for the quality!)
2. Size up in bottoms.
We all have our days where the dressing room is just not great for the self esteem. We want to warn you ahead of time to size up at least two sizes in skirts, pants, fitted dresses, any thing that will hug your lower half. I have heard that this is the experience of countless others at H&M, and while it can be frustrating it is far less so if you know about it ahead of time.
You’ll see that I got a bit of a workout after putting on a pair of pants that were already sized up the required two sizes. Not sure why there is such a sizing discrepancy, but again I think it is helpful to know about it!
3. Check out the clearance.
H&M almost always has a decent clearance section, but even more so after a season change or the holidays. I love to stock up on chunky knits after Christmas and have gotten much of my children’s clothing for the following Fall/Winter in May. There are seriously such great clearance deals, and remember your donation coupon still applies!
4. Check for additional sizes online.
Don’t haveĀ your size in the store? Check for it online. They often have coupon codes for free shipping and 20% off a $100 purchase. Such a great way to save an additional buck.
5. Hit up H&M for the whole family.
I dress my whole family in H&M! Their children’s sizing is longer than it is wide so it often lasts my children a couple of years. My husband needs slim fits even as an adult and H&M is one of the few places we find that works for him.
I hope that those tips were helpful, now lets get into the outfits we found this week!
