A Trip Down Memory Lane – Where it all Started

It’s been about 5 months since Lindsey and I decided to join forces completely in this blogging thing. It has been so much fun!  But for those of you that don’t know, we created a joint YouTube channel 2 years ago. And it all started with a little thing called MAKEUP.

My first memories of makeup involved sneaking it on the bus with a friend back in elementary school. There was a time that I didn’t know if Lindsey would ever love it (let alone brush her hair, haha!) but by the time we were in our early twenties her affinity had surpassed mine. She spoiled me with palettes from the Urban Decay Naked line for birthdays and Christmases. (Best sister evaaaaa, am I right?!)

All the while, we were both watching all the beauty vids we could find on YouTube and keeping it to ourselves. I think we both felt silly for being in our mid-twenties and dreaming of playing with makeup all day. Haha!  Then one day we started talking and dreaming together.

And voila, our channel was born. And since then there have been many starts and stops, trials and errors, believing in ourselves and quitting on ourselves. Regardless of the fact that our last beauty video was two months ago, it is still part of the dream so I thought we would revisit some of our most watched beauty-related vids!

1. Eyeshadow Palette Collection

This is our most watched beauty related video and was so fun to create. I’m feeling like we need to do an update since it’s been a year and a half. You down, Linds?

2. Ulta Haul 2016

People love a good haul. I get it. It’s fun to live vicariously through other people, right?! I should also do an update on this because some of these products are now favorites.

3. Lindsey’s Foundation Routine

This one is a little more recent from Dec 2017 and to be honest, I don’t think much has changed. Am I right, Linds?

4. Jenne’s Foundation Routine

So I recently revisited this video after referring it to a makeup-curious friend and let me tell you, it’s good. Haha! I actually went back to doing things the way I did in this video and I have been loving it!

5. What’s in My Travel Makeup Bag

Believe it or not this was parred way down from what I usually traveled with. Granted this is traveling by minivan just 4 hours away to my parents house. If I was flying I’d have to par this down even more.
