I’ve never been one to read multiple books at a time, but as I step into the world of entrepreneurship I’ve found that it’s a must! There are so many topics I’m interested in learning more about while also developing my mindset. Here are 5 of the books I’m reading right now and they all provide something different to my life and I’m loving them so far!

Capture Your Style
This book by Aimee Song is all about transforming your Instagram photos to showcase your real life. I’m absolutely loving this book, because she talks about how to get the best shot while telling your story. I think it’s super important that while our pictures are pretty online, we share our real life. People love connection and that’s what social media is all about. Connecting with people online and developing relationships with them! That’s truly what we want here, is to build relationships with you our readers. I think Aimee’s knowledge in this book will help me learn how to do that better 🙂
The Curated Closet
Our mission here at Jenne and Lindsey is to empower women to embrace their unique style to confidently show up in life. We have so many goals and dreams in this space and we really want to learn how to better serve you. I have a lot of experience with style as I’ve obviously dressed myself for a lot of my life haha. But I want to continue to learn this craft and this book is the perfect place to start.
Anuschka Rees talks all about her system for discovering your personal style and how to build your dream wardrobe. It’s funny to me how similar our beliefs are on personal style, so I’m excited to continue reading and learning more!
High Performance Habits
If you’re looking to learn how to be a high performer, than this book is for you! Brendon Burchard has assessed high performers all over the world and nailed down 6 main characteristics that have made these people high performers. It’s truly interesting and he provides so much insight on how to become a high performer. We all grew up in a different way and sometimes that leaves us set in our ways. If you’re looking to make more out of your life and break “bad habits” I think this is a great read.
Crushing It
If you don’t know Gary Vee, no offense but you’re living under a rock and you need to follow him. He is encouraging, positive, tells it like it is, inspirational, and so much more. In his book Crushing It he’s sharing real life stories of how people have transformed their lives and their businesses. He gives so much insight on what’s most important and how you can crush it in life and business. Definitely a must read for you entrepreneurs or even if you’re not on the path of entrepreneurship but want to take your life in another direction. I think you should also know that no matter your age, it’s not too late to change your life!
You are a Badass at Making Money
Who doesn’t love a good book by Jen Sincero? She writes with personality and flare and really lights a fire under your behind. This book is all about mastering the mindset of wealth. I think there’s a lot of negative opinion surrounding the word wealth. Jen talks all about how having a negative view of money and wealth is what actually keeps money from coming to you. I think it’s important to understand why you want to be wealthy and if those are good reasons then what’s wrong with have a lot of money?
A few of my favorite quotes from this book (so far) are:
“A healthy desire for wealth is not greed, it’s a desire for life.”
“We all have seeds of unthinkable badassery inside of us, yet only some of us will allow ourselves to grow.”
If you’ve grown up with a negative mindset surrounding finances and money, than this is a good read. I think it’s important to understand that money isn’t bad and having it isn’t sinful. God wants us to prosper and wants us to be blessed so that we can bless others!
I hope you find that one of these books might be something you need in your life right now! Let me know what books you’re reading right now in the comments 🙂
