We don’t know about you but we can’t believe the holidays are upon us again! Over here Christmas music is already streaming, Hallmark (or Netflix) Christmas movies are on repeat, and we are prepping for holiday travel. Whether you are having a cozy dinner in with family, or glamming it up with your friends this week we’ve got you covered with Thanksgiving outfit inspiration.
Casual Thanksgiving Look
During the holidays, I tend to overthink my outfits and end up just being super uncomfortable. This year, I felt like a nice pair of high waisted pants and a dressy jacket were the perfect fit for comfort! You can dress it up with a sleek bootie or take it even more casual with a nice tennis shoe.
If crop tops aren’t your thangggg, throw on a turtleneck tee underneath your jacket and tuck it into your pants. I always tuck everything in for an extra sleek look. The options are truly endless with jeans and a jacket!
Glam Thanksgiving Look
How perfect is this combo?! When I picked up this blazer I was already composing a Thanksgiving outfit in my mind. It all came together when I remembered this red velvet dress that I thrifted last year.
When I think of holiday glamour, velvet is one of the first things that comes to mind. It has this vintage vibe to it, which in my mind automatically escalates it. The next thing that comes to mind is, of course, GOLD! I personally cannot do a holiday look with out it.
A simple way to add glamour is to keep it simple with the accessories. The thin nude belt with gold hardware at the thinnest point of my waist, makes the dress that much more flattering. A thrifted clutch, chunky gold hoops from H&M, and vintage style strappy heels from Target complete the look!
For a long time I was seriously against the whole letting your jacket rest on your shoulders rather than wearing it thing. But when I put on this outfit with the jacket worn normally, I immediately noticed that my figure was completely lost. Resting the jacket on my shoulders brought the glam back to the look immediately.
My go to for glam is usually curls, but I thought this look called for my hair to be off of my shoulders. This low bun is a sleeker take on my Quick & Easy Low Summer Bun. The only difference is that I used a middle part and smoothed fly-aways with the Kristen Ess pomade.
This L’OREAL Colour Riche mattelipstick in the shade Matte-itude could not be more perfect. I have been on the hunt for a rich nude shade that doesn’t leave me looking half dead forever! I’ve finally found my match!
What is your holiday style vibe?!
